This is a video taken of the Felixstowe film displayed on a faulty screen. I used different shutter speeds to see how the strobing looked. I also tried following the action by panning the camera and focussing in and out.

I like the generational loss particularly at the beginning of the film. It also makes the film more jarring for the viewer which could be a good thing.

My intention has always been to make the final work as accessible as possible, while I like the effect, it may not make sense or be ‘viewable’ for my audience so I probably won’t take this any further.

Sadly, the £1 eBay plasma screen died on the journey to Dartmouth Avenue and so I cannot recreate this until I find another faulty screen.
